About Dr. Linda Slaney

I didn't stumble into this work. I was built for it.

It started at Memorial University, where I completed an Honours degree in Kinesiology — because I was genuinely fascinated by the human body and what it's capable of. That led to six years working as a Kinesiologist, first during chiropractic school in Toronto, then back home in Mount Pearl.

In 2008 I took over Active Health Chiropractic from the departing chiropractor — sink or swim, from day one. No slow build, no safety net. For the next 18 years I showed up for patients through every season of their lives. And then it started happening to me.

The fatigue that sleep didn't fix. The weight that arrived uninvited. The anxiety that had no good reason to be there. The feeling of being slightly outside of myself.

I knew enough clinically to know this wasn't inevitable. But I also knew the standard answers weren't enough. So I went looking for better ones. That search led me here — to you.
